Our licensed childcare staff are thoroughly trained in all aspects of childcare and safety. Several of our staff are multilingual and speak a range of languages, including Singhalese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian and Ukrainian. MPNH provides services to people from many backgrounds, from new immigrants to groups who have been in the neighbourhood a long time but may still be settling in or dealing with language issues. Childcare staff do everything possible to make children and parents comfortable. Our programs are affordable and flexible, and designed to meet the schedules of working parents. This is a part-time program in which play is the basis for learning. Each of the three classes has individual and flexible schedules. Each class has a unique culture and we honour that uniqueness by supporting the strengths of each group. Teachers and children’s interests are intertwined, and together we discover ways to satisfy our curiosity around learning. Through the program, we do inquiry based learning through literature, drama, art, music, and so on. Finally, the program encourages children to learn about themselves and ways of belonging to their preschool environment.
