Our goal is to strengthen and empower families and, through this, the community of Mount Pleasant. We appreciate that all families are unique, made up of different components that reflect the knowledge and experience of our community. We believe that in valuing and working together with families and empowering caregivers we are able to help foster the optimal development of children, youth and the community. We have a range of programs and activities designed to help parents and children from different backgrounds and for different reasons. From the single parent who visits the Family Drop-in twice a month to connect with other parents and let her child play and learn with friends, to the grandparent who uses our childcare services while he participates in Seniors programming, or providing the opportunity for concerned parents with a troubled teen to meet with our Family Empowerment Worker to discuss their concerns, we constantly update our family programming to meet the needs of our community.
