Second Beat

When: Saturday, July 29, 7:00–10:00 p.m.

Vancouver has been described as a lonely place for young people. Second Beat addresses this sense of social isolation by creating a welcoming, vibrant, and inclusive space for young people to connect with one another through performance-based art. Operating like an open-mic night, this program is open to young people, aged 19–30, all backgrounds welcome! Every last Saturday of the month.

Fun Youth Leadership!

This cycle of FYL, we are focusing on media and the arts. You will have access to a Media Mentor with film and photography experience who will guide you in making your art and teaching you photography, filming, audio and editing skills.  Check out the poster for more information and all the upcoming topic dates!

Be A Healthy & Happy Parent

Learn to be a healthy and happy parent. For Chinese parents with 0-24 month old children. Free child-minding and snacks provided! This program will be happening on Tuesday from 10 a.m.–12 p.m.

Pre-Employment & Settlement Support

The Pre-employment and Settlement Support Program is open to those who are not eligible for WorkBC Services. This program is to help participants with their employment needs, including resume, cover letter, interview techniques and other employment related
questions. Drop ins for participants are Mondays from 1–3 p.m. and Workshops run on Fridays 2:30–4 p.m. For more information contact Jose Aranda.

Family Finances for Newcomer Women

A FREE program to support newcomer women with children to build their financial management skills, to learn more about budgeting, banking, credit and consumerism, etc. Program starts every Tuesday, February 28–March 21, 2017, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at MPNH. Childminding is available. Registration is required.

One-to-One Financial Coaching

A FREE program to provide one to one financial mentorship to help people review their finances and guide them through the Canadian financial system. Everyone welcome. Financial Coaching appointment is available every Wednesday, from 1-3 p.m. at MPNH. Registration is required.

Healthy Living Support Group (Mandarin)

A FREE theme-based ongoing monthly program to help Chinese speaking immigrant women to adjust their lives in Canada, to meet new friends, share their knowledge, cultural and stories.
