General

All information collected by Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House is used for internal purposes only and is not sold or shared externally and is held in the strictest privacy.

Program and Membership Related Information

Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House (MPNH) and the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC (ANHBC) respect your personal privacy. The information collected on program registration and membership forms, as well as any other forms administered by MPNH or ANHBC is in compliance with the BC Personal Information Protection Act and is used to process the registration and/or application, help ensure the safety and well-being of program participants, to provide you and/or your family information about future events and programs at MPNH and to gather information on our programs and program use. General information such as program statistical data may be provided to funders and potential funders. Please note there are some situations in which we are NOT required to maintain your records or personal information confidentiality:

1.       If one of our staff or volunteers believes that anyone under the age of 18 years need protection from abuse (physical, sexual, or emotional) or neglect, s/he MUST disclose this information without your permission to the Ministry of Children and Family Development

2.       If a law/statute/regulation requires us to disclose information, we must comply with it.

3.       If we are served with a valid subpoena, court order or search warrant, we must comply.

Website

Data gathered from the website may be used at our discretion to track site usage and for internal purposes. Any personal data collected will not be sold or shared. It is used solely for the purposes of improving our site and developing or improving MPNH communications and development activities. Contact information collected from donors and program registrants may be used at our discretion to update you about relevant programs and activities that may interest you.
