Our award-winning Seniors Program (we were awarded a Spirit Award by the United Way of the Lower Mainland for our ground-breaking mentoring project for senior immigrants) is a thriving, vibrant part of the MPNH family. The goal of the MPNH Seniors Program is to promote health and wellness, build supportive social relationships and create cross-cultural understanding and harmony by providing a variety of organized activities for seniors from our diverse neighbourhood. Our programs offer seniors opportunities to socialize, learn new skills, access useful information and enjoy social and emotional peer support. All activities are inclusive and designed for cross-cultural sharing and interaction, and include “fun and fitness” dance classes, mah jong, knitting, Conversational English, mentoring opportunities, group outings, and more.
