Ways to Donate

When you make a donation to Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House, you are making an investment in people — all sorts of people in Mount Pleasant who are trying to live full, meaningful lives connected to and as a part of their community. Whatever your gift, and however often you give, you are helping us to help the people we serve.

Types of Donations

Financial

Gifts may be one-time, monthly or annual donations, or a commemorative donation. Estate bequests or other types of gifts are welcome. Please contact our Development Department if you have questions.

All donations over the amount of $25 are tax receiptable and while supplies last, donors will receive one of our new logoed tote bags in thanks for your support.

In-Kind

We frequently solicit in-kind donations for special event fundraisers and for prizes for other events including our volunteer recognition event. We can issue a tax receipt for donations under certain circumstances, and for which we have some form of validation as to the amount of the donated gift, according to the regulations governing in-kind gifts set out by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Code of Ethics and Non-Profit Status

As a registered non-profit organization, we abide by the rules and regulations set out by the federal government in regard to fundraising. We also adhere to the privacy rules of the Association of  Neighbourhood Houses of British Columbia as set out by the BC Personal Information Protection Act.
