As we celebrate Neighbourhood House Week (May 3-9), we are also celebrating all the people who lend so much of their time and effort to make the neighbourhood houses across BC so amazing.

Every year at this time, the Good Neighbour Awards are bestowed by the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of British Columbia (ANHBC) to honour volunteers who are making our communities healthier, happier and stronger with the important work that they do.

Due to COVID-19, we cannot gather together as usual to watch our Good Neighbours receive their awards in front of their peers – but we are still celebrating online.

Here at Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood, we would like to recognize three people in particular for their valuable service to our House:

Nelson McGillivray – 2020 Youth Good Neighbour Award

Nelson McGillivray has received the 2020 Youth Good Neighbour Award for his service to Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House.

Mariana Gassmann – 2020 Good Neighbour Award

Mariana Gassmann has received the 2020 Good Neighbour Award for her service to Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House.

Bosa Family Foundation – 2020 Corporate Good Neighbour Award

The Bosa Family Foundation has received the 2020 Corporate Good Neighbour Award for its service to Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House.
