Multicultural Cooking Club: Celebrating Eid-al-Adha with Community and Culture
Bringing People Together Through Eid-al-Adha Traditions
On Saturday, July 19th 2025, we celebrated the Muslim festival of Eid-al-Adha with a vibrant, multicultural gathering. The event welcomed around 60 participants and was supported by amazing volunteers from diverse backgrounds—including Iran, Afghanistan, Mexico, Egypt, China, Gambia, and more.
A highlight of the celebration was the delicious meal featuring Shawarma, a popular Middle Eastern dish made with seasoned chicken, rice, and a fresh side salad.
The event included activities such as sharing the significance of Eid-al-Adha and exploring how it is celebrated in different countries. The celebration was filled with joy, music, and dancing to Arabic and Afghan tunes.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and the food was definitely a hit!
