Building Connections at Community Services and Resources Fair

On Thursday, September 11th, 2025, Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House hosted a successful Community Services and Resources Fair. The event brought together 11 partner organizations and over 60 participants from diverse backgrounds. Attendees included newcomers such as permanent residents, temporary residents, international students, work permit holders, refugees, and provincial nominees.

The fair created a friendly and welcoming space for people to connect, learn, and share resources. Highlights included partner presentations, a resume clinic, and meet-and-greet sessions between participants and partner organizations. The resume clinic gave attendees personalized feedback and tips to improve their resumes.

Partner organizations and educational institutions also showcased their programs and services, giving participants valuable opportunities to network and explore support options. The event helped newcomers find the right resources to achieve their settlement, career, and education goals.

Overall, the Community Services and Resources Fair was a lively and meaningful event that encouraged inclusion, access to resources, and community connection.
