MPNH Staff Team Day: Honouring Our Connections, Honouring the Land
On Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, we began our Staff Team Day by reconnecting with one another over coffee, tea, and treats from a local bakery. We were fortunate to work with Farah Kotadia, a champion of mental health awareness and human resources professional, who guided us through an engaging session on strengthening our connections and deepening our understanding of each other.
At noon, we shared a heartwarming Middle Eastern lunch before welcoming Kung Jaadee (@kungjaadee), a renowned Haida storyteller, drummer, and children’s author. Through her stories, she shared important cultural teachings rooted in Haida tradition, reminding us of the wisdom and richness carried through Indigenous knowledge.
To close the day, we got our hands into the soil, choosing and repotting plants to bring home, a grounding reminder of growth, renewal, and care.
It was truly a day of intention, connection, and learning. Thank you to all our colleagues who continually make MPNH the vibrant community it is.
