Side by Side in the Kitchen: Family Food Preservation with Jessica Wismer
Another lovely Family Food Preservation class with Jessica at Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House brought adults and kids together to pickle turnips, share beet salad, and collaborate. Participants felt productive, calm, and motivated, valuing community, and eagerly anticipating the jam-making class.

The Family Resource Programs (FRP) at MPNH foster a multicultural learning environment, offering vital support to children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Susanna Mora, who goes by Sussie, is one of many participants who has greatly benefited from the variety of programs, particularly those offered through FRP. In the five years she had been a part of MPNH, Sussie grew significantly as a mother. The valuable resources and guidance she received helped her raise her son to be independent, creative, intelligent, social, empathetic, and, most importantly, healthy.
How Nobody’s Perfect Parenting helps families
Nobody’s Perfect Parenting (NPP) is a free program for parents and caregivers with children aged zero to five. It gives parents a chance to connect, share parenting experiences, learn about child health, safety and behaviour and strengthen their parenting skills and confidence.
