Newcomer Women Entrepreneurs Moving Our Community Forward

The Holiday Market at Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House last Saturday, December 6, 2025, was a vibrant celebration of women entrepreneurs from Latin American and Middle Eastern communities, showcasing the culmination of their small business training programs. Participants confidently shared handcrafted products, services, and foods that reflected creativity, resilience, and cultural pride, many engaging with customers and making sales for the first time.

It was warmly received by visitors, who praised its welcoming atmosphere, organization, and inspiring energy. Beyond strong sales, the event strengthened cross-cultural connections, boosted participants’ confidence, and demonstrated how intentional training paired with real-world opportunities can support women in building sustainable businesses.

Together, we are creating spaces where women can grow, connect, and thrive. 😊
